Seald installation architecture
Seald operates in "Cloud" hosted at OVH; no server installation is required at the customer's premises to operate the solution.
Seald's simplified architecture |
Seald Application
Seald application is a software that is needed to be installed on Seald users wrkstation.
It contains:
- A "core" module, establishing communications across other modules and servers ;
- A cryptographic module ;
- A user interface module ;
- A local webserver module (port HTTP/57456 on local loop) for plugins usage.
Seald plugins
Seald has been designed to be connected to any other software.
By default, Seald has a plugin available for Microsoft Outlook. However, any other application (web or software) with plugin capabilities enabling requests to the local webserver module can includes Seald features.
In order to be functional, a Seald plugin must firstly pair with the local webserver module. In order to the that, the first connection with the plugin will be followed by an access control graphical interface from Seald, enabling the user to allow the plugin to be able to request Seald features. Once this step performed, the following features will be available:
- Encrypt a file ;
- Forward access right for a file ;
- Decrypt a file.
